Overview
This page explains how Boba Globe handles law enforcement requests, public-authority requests, subpoenas, court orders, warrants, preservation requests, emergency disclosure requests, rights complaints, and other legal process. Privacy rights requests from users should be submitted through our Privacy Requests And Choices page, and security reports should be submitted through our Security Policy.
How To Submit A Legal Request
Email support@bobaglobe.com with the subject Boba Globe legal request. Include the legal process or request document, the requesting authority or entity, jurisdiction, legal basis, account email or Boba Globe user id if known, the data sought, the requested date range, deadline, contact information, and proof of authority to make the request.
Civil discovery requests, rights complaints, and requests from private parties should include enough detail for Boba Globe to identify the account, project, export, or legal issue involved. Boba Globe may ask for clarification or additional legal process before preserving or disclosing information.
Review Standard
Boba Globe reviews legal requests for authority, jurisdiction, scope, apparent validity, requested date range, conflicts with applicable law, and user privacy impact. We may reject, challenge, narrow, or ask for clarification about overbroad, informal, invalid, or misdirected requests. We disclose only information we determine is required or permitted after review, and we keep a record of the decision and legal basis.
Cross-Border Public Authority Requests
If a request from a public authority in another country asks for personal information that may be subject to GDPR, UK GDPR, or other transfer restrictions, Boba Globe reviews whether an applicable international agreement, mutual legal assistance treaty, domestic legal obligation, transfer mechanism, or other lawful basis permits recognition, enforcement, transfer, or disclosure. A foreign public-authority request by itself may not be enough to require or permit disclosure, and we may direct requesters to the relevant competent authority or service provider channel.
User Notice
Where legally allowed and appropriate, Boba Globe may notify affected account holders before disclosing their information. We may delay or omit notice where prohibited by law, court order, emergency circumstances, security risk, user-safety risk, or where notice would interfere with a lawful investigation.
Emergency Requests
Emergency disclosure requests should clearly state the emergency, the facts supporting risk of death or serious physical harm, the specific information requested, the account or user identifier, and a callback number or official contact method for verification. Boba Globe reviews emergency requests promptly and discloses only information we determine is permitted or required and appropriate to address the emergency.
Preservation Requests
Preservation requests should identify the account, project, data category, date range, legal basis, and requester contact. Preservation means Boba Globe may temporarily retain specified records while valid legal process is obtained; it does not guarantee disclosure without valid legal process or another lawful basis. Preserved records may be retained longer than the normal retention schedule while the preservation, dispute, investigation, or legal obligation remains active.
Information Boba Globe May Have
- Account email, profile metadata, authentication provider metadata, and account timestamps.
- Saved projects, route data, imported flight data, visualization settings, and user-owned project thumbnails if they remain available.
- Subscription status, Stripe customer or subscription identifiers, invoice references, and billing-support metadata. Boba Globe does not store full payment-card numbers.
- Security, rate-limit, support, and operational logs when retained by Boba Globe or its providers.
- Boba Globe does not collect device GPS data or background location, and does not use route, place, flight, or project information to infer health status or health-care choices.
Provider Boundary
Boba Globe relies on service providers including Supabase, Stripe, Vercel, AWS SES or similar email providers, CloudFront or similar CDN providers, Flightradar24, Google Maps Platform where enabled, and browser-loaded package CDN providers. Some records may be controlled by those providers, retained under their own terms, or unavailable to Boba Globe. Requesters may need to serve legal process directly on the relevant provider for provider-only records.
